I was working as a ski rep in a small French resort when Bonnie came out on holiday with her parents. I cheesily asked if I could be Clyde (sad, I know) and the rest, as they say, is history.The proposal
I asked Bonnie to marry me at the head of the Langdale Valley by Angle Tarn. I was rather shaky (I think Bonnie thought I may be having a diabetic fit) and as I got onto one (rather wet) knee Bonnie fell over backwards. I thought that was a good start. She said yes and we drank chilled Champagne watching the beautiful sunset. Very nice!
